My bro, just finished his Pharmacy degree in Australia, actually got an offer from a Singapore GLC pharmaceutical early this year. Those guys from Singapore flew over to Australia to recruit and interview from the universities there.

From what my mum told me, the company made a flexible offer. If my brother can't find a job in Australia, he can go to work with them in Singapore. If he's able to get a job, the company still give him an open offer to work with them in the future (increased salaries based on no. of working experience in Australia), in the case if he decided to go back and work somewhere closer to Malaysia.

So well, yeah. Malaysia sucks.

Streamyx

I recently upgraded my 512kbps streamyx to 1mbps due to the promotions that TM are having now. Too lazy to talk about it. Go here

Speed was very good. In fact, it's more than expectation. I think they learnt it from Digi. My download speed can easily touch ~140-150kBps even with torrent.

And i downloaded about 9 gigs of movie, anime and porn over 2 days ._.

And btw, the promotion will lock you up for 2 years with TM. So think twice before you signed up.

Internet woes

Internet at my house in Puchong really screwed up big time. First, lightining strike and my modem died. Bought new one. Then lightining strike again. Both modem and the phone line gone case. Didn't realise phone line gone case until i get back my modem from warranty claim. TM technician came, reconnect but line was unstable. Fine. Still can deal with it. And now, the Ethernet port of my modem magically died. What a luck.

I think i will switch to a wireless broadband once my 1-year lock-in period ends. Thinking of getting Digi Broadband Student Package. Let see how it goes.
